NZ vs PAK: New Zealand won the
series by defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets in the Hamilton one day
The New Zealand cricket team defeated Pakistan by five
wickets in the fourth one-dayer on Tuesday to take the series 5-0 in the
five-match series PSL MATCH TIMING 2018 The fifth and final one-day match between New Zealand and
Pakistan will be played in Wellington on January 19.
Pakistan won the toss in this match played at Sedan Park and
Pakistan decided to bat first. He scored a score of 262 for eight wickets. New
Zealand won the score by scoring 263 runs, losing five wickets.
Pakistan started the innings with the ups and downs. Even
before crossing 100, he lost his three wickets as Fakhar (54), Fahim Ashraf (1)
and Babar Azam (3).
Fahim and Babar were dismissed by Tim Southee, while Jahan
was dismissed by Mitchell Starc. Haris Sohail (50) and Mohammad Hafeez (81)
added 26 runs for the team to score 123. Ken Williamson got Sohail caught by
Henri Nichols at this score.
After Sohail was dismissed, Shoaib Malik (6), who came with
the help of Hafeez, could not stay on the field for long, and Williamson
catches him to the fifth wicket of Pakistan's catch by Santander.
Hafiz tried to handle the team with a wonderful 98-run
partnership with Sarfraz Ahmed (51) but Trent Boult's total break of 228 put
the Ahmed out to break this partnership by Martin Guptill. After the departure
of Ahmed Ahmed, Hassan Ali (1) did not allow him to stay on the field after
Ahmed went. Hassan Southee's ball was thrown at the hands of Guptill. At 262,
Boulevard finished the innings with the dismissal of Hafeez.
Southee took three wickets for New Zealand, while Williamson
got two wickets. Boulevat and Santner had one success.
Going after the target, New Zealand's openers Guptill (31)
and Colin Munro (56) shared an 88-run partnership with a regular start. This
partnership was broken by Shadab Khan. They showed Munro the way out of the pavilion
in the hands of Hafeez.
After this, New Zealand's innings faltered. By the totals of
99, they lost the wickets of Guptill (31), Ross Taylor (1) and Tom Latham (8).
Captain Williamson (32), in collaboration with Nichols (52
not out), took charge of New Zealand and made a 55-run half-century partnership
with a score of 154. On this score Williamson Sohail's ball was thrown at the hands
of Ruman Rais.Nokol and Colin de Grandhomé (74 not out) made an unbeaten
century partnership of 109 runs to reach New Zealand. With this partnership, the
team won by scoring 263 runs.
For Pakistan Shahab has taken three wickets. Rais and Sohail
got one success. Grandhomme, who played a key role in New Zealand's win,
received Player of the Match award.
